Dental bonding (direct resin restoration) is a technique that has been used in cosmetic dentistry for many years and can transform your smile in just a single visit.

Bonding procedures include:

  • Repairing broken and chipped teeth
  • Reshaping teeth
  • Closing gaps between teeth
  • Filling cavities and replacing metal fillings with white fillings
  • Composite or porcelain veneers for smile makeovers

The process requires artistry as well as dentistry skills to craft a carefully coloured dental composite of resins and fillers that are moulded and applied in precise quantities.

It uses the same resin material used for white fillings and is most frequently used on the front teeth – those that show when you smile.

The procedure involves very little preparation and it does not usually need a local anaesthetic.
