Emergency Dentist Harrow Monday to Friday Saturday Appointment

Emergency Dentist In Harrow – We’re Here For You! – Monday to Saturday (6 Days)

It’s important for your oral health to visit your dentist in Harrow on a regular basis and provided you do so then your dentist will be able to treat any dental problems at their earliest stages and prevent them from escalating into something more serious. That said, there may still be times when you need to see your dentist immediately even if you haven’t had the chance to make an appointment.

When it comes to a dental emergency then visiting an emergency dentist in South Harrow as soon as possible can make all the different as to whether a tooth is saved or lost forever.

So what constitutes a dental emergency?

An emergency visit is crucial when you’re experiencing extreme pain and discomfort and long-lasting relief can only be supplied by a dentist. It’s also important that you visit an emergency dentist when there’s trauma to the teeth or the oral cavity and in cases where an injury has caused damage to other areas of your mouth and face.

Common emergency dentistry situations include:

  • Severe toothache– Excruciating pain from toothache can prevent you from doing anything else so it’s vital that you seek help from your dentist as soon as you can. Severe toothache can be caused by an abscess, tooth decay, an impacted wisdom tooth, or when particles of food have got trapped between the teeth and the gum line. Treatment for toothache in Harrow may consist of root canal therapy or deep cleaning and/or medication to alleviate the pain.
  • Knocked-out teeth– A tooth can easily get knocked out if there is a collision with another player during a contact sport such as rugby or football or some other form of blow to the mouth. A permanent tooth that has been knocked out can still be saved by emergency dental treatment. Timing is crucial as there’s more chance of a dentist being able to insert the tooth back into the cavity if you’re seen within an hour of the tooth being knocked out.
  • Lost crown or filling– If you lose a crown or filling then it’s important to visit a dentist as soon as you can since there’s a chance of infection to the tooth which has been left exposed and without protection. The crown or filling will have to be replaced to restore tooth functionality and to avoid any further discomfort.
  • Soft tissue injury– Injuries which involve the gums, tongue, lips and other soft tissues inside the mouth must be seen by an emergency dentist right away. Injuries such as these can be caused by accidents, sports, or the force of a blow towards the facial area. Treatment is necessary to deal with any bleeding and to ensure that no further complications arise from the injury.

We offer same day emergency appointments for anything from a chipped tooth, lost filling, and toothache so be sure to ring us right away by calling 020 8423 2523

With This Week Promising To Be A ‘Scorcher’, Our Neem Dentists, Harrow/Wembley Offer Some Timely Advice.

If the weather reports are anywhere near accurate, this week we are likely to see temperatures reaching 30 degrees and possibly beyond. These temperatures are more typical of places like Rome and Athens than Harrow / Wembley!

We shouldn’t complain though given the unreliability of the British weather, but these temperatures don’t come without risks and we need to protect our teeth and gums when the weather gets hot.

Below, we offer our patients some basic but useful tips.

1 – Don’t use the weather to skip your dental appointment. If you have an appointment made for a check-up at Neem Dental Clinic, Harrow, please keep it. Postponing it until it cools down may result in a longer delay than you intend. We will do our best to see you as soon as we can when you come, so that you can get back out in the sun.

2 – Stay well hydrated. It is easy to become dehydrated in the hot weather and this is bad for our general health but also for our gums. Gum disease is more likely to be present in people with a dry mouth so try to drink plenty of water throughout the day.

3 – Curb those World Cup celebrations – beer is OK in moderation, but a combination of hot weather and a Euro Cup means that some people will drink a lot more than usual. The risks of accidents rise when this happens, and, as we know, alcohol also causes a dry mouth (see above).

4 – Remember to brush – The heat can be draining, especially if it is also humid. Tiredness can then easily cause us to skip brushing our teeth at night before we go to bed because we are ‘too tired’. You should never be too tired to brush your teeth; it only takes a few minutes and is the most essential thing you can do to avoid tooth decay.

5 – Restrict your ice creams – As well as beer, the sale of ice creams and soft drinks tend to rise during the hotter weather. We all know that these are high in sugar and will damage our teeth if eaten and drunk in excess. Try to replace soft drinks with water as much as you can and keep the number of ice creams down to a sensible level. If you notice, whilst eating ice cream or drinking anything really cold, that your teeth feel really sensitive, you could have damaged your teeth; so please make an appointment at our Neem dental clinic if you notice this.

By all means, do enjoy this rare heatwave and have a good time, but don’t forget that your teeth could suffer if you don’t take sufficient care.

Following the above guidelines is a good start, along with common sense of course. If you have any problems with your teeth during the hot weather, or at any time, please call the Neem Dental Clinic, Harrow for an appointment on 020 8423 2523.

Missing Teeth » Neem Dental Clinic Harrow » Valplast Flexi Dentures

Flexible dentures are a type of partial denture, which are typically constructed of nylon, or other thin thermoplastics, which differ significantly from the thicker, harder acrylic that is often used in normal dentures. This helps make these types of dentures a lot more bendable and flexible, giving rise to their popular name.

As flexible dentures are made up of softer, more comfortable materials, people of all ages often prefer them over regular dentures. However, it is always best to consult with your dentist or denture technician with regards to which type of dentures will best suit you, your needs and requirements.

Losing your teeth can be difficult, but it doesn’t necessarily mean saying goodbye to your smile. There are a range of denture options to choose from, accommodating a variety of different people, teeth and mouth types.

Replace Missing Teeth – Dentures Harrow | Rayners Lane | Sudbury | Sudbury Hill | Wembley | We’re Here For You!

Dentures, or false teeth, are one of the most common solutions to missing teeth. They’re strong and look like real teeth since they’re made from acrylic resins or porcelain. Dentures are also cheap compared to similar treatments like bridges and implants.
Patients get dentures for a variety of reasons. Here are some of the frequent reasons: 1. Smile with confidence. Modern dentures look completely natural and can really enhance your smile. You’ll no longer have to feel self-conscious about the appearance of your teeth. You can smile away with a beautiful full set of teeth! 2. Reduce your lines and wrinkles. Another benefit of dentures is that they help support your lips and cheeks. This support can reduce your face’s lines and wrinkles. 3. Make it easier to eat. A further benefit of dentures is that they can restore your ability to chew food properly. 4. Make it easier to speak. Did you know that even a single missing tooth can affect the way you speak? The good news is that dentures can help you to talk naturally again. #Emergency #Dentist #Sudbury#Hill #wembley #Harrow #Restore #Your #Smile #immediately #dentalclinic #dentist #dental #dentistry #smile #dentalcare #teeth #dental #crown# Bridge #teethwhitening #oralhealth #dental #hygienist #deepclean #Denture #veneers #cosmetic #dentistry #dentalphotography #Near #Me #tooth #smilemakeover #dental #hygiene
