Root Canal Treatment

Endodontic treatments we routinely provide include primary root canal treatments (RCT), root canal re-treatments, RCT and re-RCT through crowns, RCT of open apices, post removal and the subsequent root canal re-treatment.

We believe it is beneficial to have these treatments carried out by someone with a diploma in this area (as offered in our practice) as this specialist training provides a better understanding of the root canal system and anatomy of the tooth and a better success rate of treatments. Alongside this, we use magnification to allow access to the whole root canal system and we use thermal obturation for sealing the root canal system, again leading to better success rates and positive outcome of treatment. This specialist training and certification involves a vast amount of experience in the field, with numerous different scenarios encountered and tackled.

An initial consultation will determine if you need endodontic treatment, and then the treatment itself is carried out in two or more subsequent appointments – depending on the individual case.
